Guitar Center Affiliate Program

Joining the Guitar Center affiliate program is free and easy. Commission Junction or CJ, a third party monitors affiliate sales and pays out commissions. You get up to two weeks after referral to earn a commission. You are responsible for creating links to Guitar Center, attracting viewers to your site and directing traffic to your links. Guitar Center handles the rest, including processing and shipping all orders. They also monitor orders generated from your site, provide affiliate sales reports, and mail your referral fee checks to you.

From $5 guitar strings to $50,000 recording studios, you’ll collect advertising fees on every order—with no ceiling on how high your checks can be. Performance incentives are calculated approximately 40 days after the close of the month in which they were generated. Therefore, if you qualify for our incentives in May, you should expect the increased commission to be posted to your account in early July.

Who can apply to the Affiliate Program?
If you have a website, you can be a Guitar Center affiliate. Sites that contain or link to inappropriate content do not qualify for the Affiliate Program. Read the Affiliate Agreement before you sign up.

How do affiliates get paid?
When visitors click through the logo that you have properly linked to our site and purchase supplies or gear from Guitar Center, you will receive up to 8% cash referral fee on the orders (not including returns, shipping and taxes, etc.). CJ will calculate your referral fees and send you a check at the end of each month. If your referral fees total less than $25 for the month, they will accrue your referral fees until you reach the $25 floor and pay you at the end of the corresponding month. All payments will be made in U.S. dollars.

How to keep track of orders made through your site?
You don’t have to keep track of orders. As long as you download the links properly, it can be tracked whether or not a visitor originated directly from your site prior to placing an order. Daily updates are also provided so that you can determine how much money you have earned and which links work best for you. This sophisticated tracking system and ease of reporting results from Guitar Center’s partnership with Commission Junction.

How to create links to Guitar Center?
Once you are accepted into the program, you will be provided with all of the tools and logos needed to create your links.

Can you paste links to more than one web page?
Yes, just complete one application and use your unique store identification number for all of your sites. CJ will consolidate your checks and your reports. If you want to keep track of the performance for your individual sites, complete a single application and send the URLs to [email protected]. Guitar Center strongly recommends using a single unique store identification number since it allows you to receive payments more often.
